ILLEGAL BOTOX
Patients have reported having received ’botox’ injections with results that last for one-year and costing prices which are too good to be true. Shopping for value is good, but this price sounds suspect, plus if the results last that long, you know it is illegal and possibly life threatening. Our advice is stay away and wait until you can afford to get it done, rather than play roulette with your body.
SITE INFECTIONS
Botox injections are also contraindicated in the presence of infection at the injection site and patients with neuromuscular disorders may be at an increased risk of side effects such as severe dysphagia and respiratory compromise.
PREGNANCY
Pregnant or breastfeeding mothers are advised not to have Botox injections since it has not been established if Botox has any effect on the fetus or if it can be found in breast milk.
